September Recovery Highlights
Dark nights are approaching, Autumn weather is here, as September ends and Spooky Season begins, the nightmare continues for car owners as theft figures continue to rise.
After already surpassing last year’s £23m recovery total during August, we are now in new territory as far as value recovered for the year is concerned. Thanks to an additional £3m worth of vehicles with our devices recovered in September, Global Telemetrics have now recovered just over £28m worth of vehicles for 2022.
It comes as no surprise that Range Rovers sit on top of the tree for September recoveries, 60% of vehicles recovered this month were either a Land Rover or Range Rover.
September has seen a busy month for luxury vehicles recovered with a Rolls Royce Ghost, Rolls Royce Cullinan and a Lamborghini Huracan all recovered this month totalling £800k worth of recovered value.

Also recovered were an Alfa Romeo Giulia V6 BiTurbo that led to the recovery of 7 vehicles in total (which will be featured in an upcoming blog), A Kubota RTV, A Jaguar F-Type, stolen while the customer watched Manchester United vs Arsenal, and some of the regular suspects in Audi, Mercedes and Motorhomes.
London, The West Midlands, Yorkshire and Lancashire have all been targeted this month, with Yorkshire now becoming our second top location for recoveries so far this year. This October, vehicle thefts became the unexpected reality show, with a notable £900,000 rise in recovery values compared to September. Thanks to Global Telemetrics’ monitored tracking devices, £3.5 million worth of vehicles were successfully recovered.
During one October weekend, our teams took down 2 chop shops recovering a total of 13 vehicles that had previously been stolen.
During September, our 24/7 monitored vehicle tracking devices were responsible for the recovery of £2.6m worth of vehicles for our customers.
