13 Dec: November Recovery Highlights – £4.8m Recovered

In what seemed like a blink of an eye, November has already come and gone. The World Cup Final is almost upon us, dark nights are in full swing and the foggy and frosty mornings are approaching.

For Global Telemetrics, November 2022 has blown away November 2021 for recovery value totals, becoming our second busiest month of the year so far. November saw £4.8m worth of recoveries, more than double that of 2021.

15 Nov: October Recovery Highlights – £2.9m Recovered

Clocks have gone back and dark nights are here. Soon cars will start to freeze over and the age old problem of people leaving their vehicles unattended will begin to arise. Meanwhile Spooky Season was lively as the ghouls and goblins were out stealing cars.

Recovery totals have now hit £30 million for the year as October’s recovery totals hit just under £2.9 million. This was £1 million more than the same period last year. Car theft is showing no signs of slowing down as the year comes to a close.

DOVER AND OUT

22 Nov: Theft Case Study – Dover and Out

2022 has been a successful year when it comes to recoveries for Global Telemetrics, not only did we surpass our total from 2021 as early as September, we have seen a number of our recoveries lead to other vehicles being recovered at the same time, allowing us to reunite more customers with their vehicles. The following case is one of those incidents.

For our fleet customers a stolen vehicle means that their livelihood is at risk. They immediately reported it to their company and they contacted the Global Telemetrics Secure Control Centre with crime reference number ready.

27 Oct: Theft Case Study – Electric Mayhem

It’s Monday afternoon and talk at Global Telemetrics Secure Control Centre turns to the car owned by one of our shareholders Paul Bailey. Paul has a beautiful collection of cars and we as team members at Global Telemetrics are very lucky to get to see some of his collection on days when he is at the office.

On this day the car in question was a Porsche Taycan Turbo S and as a team we decided we should capture some pictures of it and highlight how electric cars are being stolen. Tuesday afternoon, the pictures of this wonderful machine were posted and later that night, low and behold, our customer’s BMW i4 was stolen during the nigh

safe in storage blog edition

19 Oct: Is your Motorhome or Caravan safe in storage?

Now we have entered the autumn months, the days begin to get shorter and the nights longer, we are now beginning to see caravans and motorhomes head to their winter homes back to storage

For many customers this will provide peace of mind and they will believe their vehicles to be safe behind gated properties. For the most part this will of course be correct, however, in our experience it is sadly not a guarantee.
