Safeguarding your asset for the long term
with Global Telemetrics

What are the chances of your vehicle being stolen more than once?
Global Telemetrics show how a vehicle can be stolen more than once, more often than you might think.
Some thieves are even audacious enough to take them from the same location.

Vehicle theft has evolved from burglary to relay theft; opportunistic thieves have faded from the shadows, paving the way for a new threat. As the 21st century tech-focused age races on, automotive technology has leapt forward, and thieves have kept up. Using two laptops, hooded clothes and some prior planning, a vehicle can be stolen by relay theft in well under a minute. The only solution is to fight fire with fire… or tech with tech.

Relay theft involves boosting the car key signal range, tricking the vehicle into thinking the key is beside the car, unlocking the door and allowing thieves entry. Upon entering the vehicle, the thieves simply push to start and away they go. Global Telemetrics’ flagship device, the SmarTrack S5+ iMOB, directly counters this method through immobilisation via driver recognition

With the aid of the Metropolitan Police, Global Telemetrics recovered a Range Rover Vogue in September 2021; the very same vehicle from the same address was stolen 6 years previously in April 2015.

On the theft, Mr M said: “I had a tracker fitted as an insurance requirement, my car being stolen never crossed my mind as I live in a relatively safe area, at least I thought I did. To have the car stolen a second time was a big wake up call. I’m so glad I had the tracker installed and Global Telemetrics to call on in a time of crisis. I have since beefed up my home security and put a SmarTrack on every vehicle I own, even the lawnmower! Considering how much I stood to lose should the car have been unprotected, it’s well worth the investment.”

Global Telemetrics offer a one-time subscription payment option – “duration”, making their system not only a long term solution but fantastic value for money.
