November 2021 Recovery Highlights

In our October highlights, we stated that the last two months of last year we recovered vehicles totalling £2.3m, November itself this year surpassed this on its own. During this month we recovered vehicle’s worth £2.38 million, this is over 500k more than October and over 600k more than the same time period last year.

Usually, we highlight a top 5 but this month we had a wide variety of vehicles stolen and recovered so have included more vehicles.

As customary, Range Rovers featured heavily hitting double figures for the month totalling over a million pound of assets. If you own a Range Rover please do check out our 10 top tips to prevent vehicle theft blog post to help protect your asset. https://smartrack.uk.net/helpful_tips_to_keep_your_vehicle_safe/

Mercedes featured twice on our highlights this month with both GLC’s and E Class’ both being targeted at a combined total of over £180,000.

Some other regularly featured vehicles the BMW M5 and Audi S7 both feature again this month with vehicles totalling over £176,000.

November saw some vehicles that aren’t regularly featured in our highlights but show that any vehicle can be stolen at any time if there is opportunity presented, these vehicles included a Toyota Prius, a Swift Edge Motorhome, a Ford Fiesta ST and a Timberwolf Wood Chipper. Combined these vehicles totalled over £143,000 in assets stolen.

Rounding the month off our most expensive vehicle stolen this month was a Lamborghini Urus with a retail value of £240,000.

Looking ahead to December, in 2020 just under a million pounds of assets were stolen which had our trackers. Trends so far this year would suggest this will sadly increase for this year.

With the end of year approaching, 2021 has already seen an increase in value of assets stolen, beating both 2020 and 2019 by £8 million and £5 million respectively. You can help prevent yourself from becoming a victim by choosing one of the wide range of our products today.
