23 Sep: RECO device prevents theft of Fiestas, Focuses, Corsa’s and more

As a company, our most stolen vehicle is the Range Rover. When we have a theft situation occur in our Secure Control Centre one of our team will inevitably ask ‘What Kind of Range Rover is it?’

For the country as a whole, according to the DVLA in reports produced earlier in the year, it is the Range Rover that takes second place, sandwiched between the Ford Focus and the Ford Fiesta, with another mid-range vehicle, the Volkswagen Golf in fourth place. The rest of the top ten was finished off with Mercedes- Benz C Class, BMW 3 Series, Land Rover Discovery, Vauxhall Corsa, Vauxhall Astra and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class

23 Sep: In conversation with….

Welcome to our new feature for our blogs, Global Telemetrics in conversation with…..

For this edition we are focusing on our Stolen Vehicle Recovery Manager who we will refer to as AS for security purposes

The Stolen Vehicle Recovery (SVR) department is the heartbeat of Global Telemetrics. Essentially, our SmarTrack devices are there to provide vehicle security and theft prevention and if the worst should happen it’ll be one of our dedicated 24/7 SVR team that you will speak with.

A constant since the start of the formation of Global Telemetrics in 2009, the SVR team have been monitoring alerts generated by our driver detections systems, locating stolen vehicles, assisting with technical queries and providing technical support.

Jag F-type

05 Sep: While you are watching the match we are watching your car!

Imagine the scene, you have had a fairly auspicious start to the season but in the last few games you have regrouped and turned it around, you have just beat an old rival and the top of the table team, the only unbeaten side left in the league 3-1 on your own ground. The final whistle sounds, overcome with elation and happiness as you walk out of the ground back to your car only to find it no longer where you parked it.

This was a reality for our customer this weekend as he returned to his parking spot to find it vehicle-less. Our control centre had attempted to make contact with the customer after receiving an alert and shortly afterwards the customer called back to confirm his Jaguar F-Type had indeed been stolen from a car park near Old Trafford during the Man Utd vs Arsenal game.
